rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
مَنْ فَارَقَ الرُّوحُ الْجَسَدَ وَهُوَ بَرِىءٌ مِنْ ثَلاَثٍ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ مِنَ الْكِبْرِ وَالْغُلُولِ وَالدَّيْنِ
“barangsiapa yang ruhnya terpisah dari jasadnya dan juga ia terbebas dari 3 perihal: [1] sombong, [2] ghulul (khianat) , dan juga [3] hutang, hingga ia hendak masuk surga. ” (hr. ibnu majah nomor. 2412. syaikh Al (AL) albani berkata kalau hadits ini shohih).
dari abu hurairah, nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
نَفْسُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مُعَلَّقَةٌ بِدَيْنِهِ حَتَّى يُقْضَى عَنْهُ
“jiwa seseorang mukmin masih tergantung dengan hutangnya sampai ia melunasinya. ” (hr. tirmidzi nomor. 1078. syaikh Al (AL) albani berkata kalau hadits ini shohih sebagaiman shohih wa dho’if sunan at tirmidzi)
dari shuhaib Al (AL) khoir, rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ يَدَيَّنُ دَيْنًا وَهُوَ مُجْمِعٌ أَنْ لاَ يُوَفِّيَهُ إِيَّاهُ لَقِىَ اللَّهَ سَارِقًا
“siapa aja yang berhutang kemudian bernazar tidak ingin melunasinya, hingga ia hendak berjumpa allah (pada hari kiamat) dalam status bagaikan pencuri. ” (hr. ibnu majah nomor. 2410. syaikh Al (AL) albani berkata kalau hadits ini hasan shohih)
dari ‘abdillah bin ‘amr bin Al (AL) ‘ash, rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
يُغْفَرُ لِلشَّهِيدِ كُلُّ ذَنْبٍ إِلاَّ الدَّيْ
“semua dosa orang yang mati syahid hendak diampuni kecuali hutang. ” (hr. muslim nomor. 1886)
oleh karna itu, bayarlah hutang kamu, silih membantulah dengan sahabat kamu tetapi jangan sempat kurang ingat buat mengembalikannya. karna ingatlah hutang pada sahabat tidak dapat dilunasi cuma dengan istighfar.
