Ada banyak sekali kisah yang datang dari mereka, para difabel yang punya semangat luar biasa dan menginspirasi kita. Meski berada dalam keterbatasan orang-orang ini tak pernah memasrahkan diri pada nasib, tetapi berusaha tetap berdiri dan sama dengan mereka yang punya fisik sempurna.
Kisah kali ini datang dari seorang bocah lelaki asal Sukabumi bernama Muklis Abdul Kholik alias Adul (9). Keterbatasan pada kedua kakinya membuat ia harus merangkak demi sampai ke sekolahnya di SDN 10 Cibadak Sukabumi. Bagaimana perjuangan Adul? Diantar ketika duduk di bangku PAUD

Adul sudah terlahir sebagai difabel. Ia tinggal bersama orangtua asuhnya Dadan (50) dan Pipin (45) ini mulanya diantar orangtuanya dengan digendong. Hal tersebut dituturkan oleh Pipin sendiri, sejak PAUD sampai kelas 2 SD ia mengantar Adul ke sekolah dengan menggendongnya. Orangtua Adul takut anak mereka menjadi bulan-bulanan temannya. Namun, setelah naik kelas 3, Adul meminta orangtuanya tidak lagi mengantar melainkan ia berjalan sendiri. Sesekali Pipin mengantar dengan membuntuti Adul dari belakang. Bocah yang sekarang duduk di bangku kelas 3 SD ini diterima oleh teman dan guru-gurunya dengan baik di sekolah.

Perjuangan melewati jalan setapak dan jembatan bambu


Adul menginspirasi bukan sekedar semangatnya yang menggebu untuk sampai ke sekolah meski memiliki keterbatasan saja. Lebih lagi, rumah Adul cukup jauh jaraknya dari sekolahnya. Untuk sampai ke sekolah, ia harus naik turun perbukitan Gunung Walat yang memiliki medan jalan setapak dan curam. Terlebih lagi saat musim hujan, jalanan menjadi sang licin sehingga harus ekstra hati-hati agar tidak membahayakan. Setelah melewati jalan curam, Adul juga harus menyeberangi selokan dengan memanfaatkan jembatan terbuat anyaman bambu. Selanjutnya, Adul menumpang jasa ojek menuju sekolah yang memakan biaya Rp7000 sekali jalan. Keadaan ini dilaluinya setiap hari tanpa mengeluh.

Cita-cita Adul yang ingin menjadi pemadam kebakaran

Kepala SDN X Cibadak, Epi Mulyadi mengungkapkan bahwa alasan sekolah menerima Adul adalah karena ia anak cerdas yang punya semangat luar biasa. Kekurangan fisik tak pernah membuat ia minder, Adul bisa melakukan semua tugas yang diberikan guru padanya. Bahkan, Adul ikut dalam ekstrakurikuler pramuka dan olahraga. Jika pun mau dimasukkan ke SLB, jaraknya lumayan jauh dari sekolah yang sekarang, kondisi ekonomi keluarga Adul juga menjadi pertimbangan tersendiri. “Adul punya hak yang sama dalam menempuh pendidikan seperti anak-anak lainnya, anak-anak seusianya. Kalau memang anak ini mampu kenapa harus kami tolak masuk sekolah kami”. kata Epi seperti dilansir dari Kompas.com.

Mendapat hadiah dan dukungan dari berbagai pihak

Berkat semangat Adul, ada banyak sekali pihak yang memberi apresiasi padanya. Adul bersama orangtuanya diundang ke talkshow Hitam Putih pada Rabu (14/11) kemarin. Dari acara yang dipansu oleh Deddy Corbuzier ini, ia mendapat bantuan tabungan pendidikan sebesar 10 juta rupiah, serta satu buah tablet. Tidak hanya itu, komunitas relawan sosial Sahabat Kristiawan Peduli (SKP) pun membebaskan utang orangtua Adul ke koperasi sebesar Rp 5 juta, membelikan Adul peralatan sekolah dan juga tongkat untuk membantunya ke sekolah, seperti dilansir dari detik.com.

Dari Adul lagi-lagi kita bisa belajar banyak hal. Tak ada yang tak mungkin selama masih punya tekad dan kemauan. Buktinya, Adul yang masih berumur 9 tahun, punya fisik yang tak sempurna saja masih semangat ke sekolah meski dengan cara merangkak. Masa iya, kita yang tercipta dengan fisik sempurna masih suka mengeluh dan tidak bersyukur?
